AS ORIGENS

No dia 29 de Junho de 1955 foi fundada canonicamente a nossa Comunidade Paroquial. Nesse dia o Senhor Arcebispo de Newark, Dom Thomas Aloysius Boland, anunciou oficialmente, "entre prolongados e frequentes aplausos" a criação da nova Paróquia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, para servir pastoralmente as necessidades da comunidade de lingua portuguesa na Arquidiocese de Newark.

OUR STORY

On June 29, 1955, our Parish Community was canonically founded. On that day, the Archbishop of Newark, His Grace Thomas Aloysius Boland, officially announced, "amidst prolonged and frequent applause," the creation of the new Parish of Our Lady of Fatima, to pastorally serve the needs of the Portuguese-speaking community in the Archdiocese of Newark.
