CRISMA / CONFIRMATION

Os profetas do Antigo Testamento predisseram que o Espírito de Deus repousaria sobre o Messias para sustentar a sua missão. A sua profecia cumpriu-se quando Jesus, o Messias, foi concebido pelo Espírito e nasceu da Virgem Maria. O Espírito Santo desceu sobre Jesus por ocasião do seu batismo por João Batista. Toda a missão de Jesus decorreu em comunhão com o Espírito. Antes de morrer, Jesus prometeu que o Espírito seria dado aos Apóstolos e a toda a Igreja. Após a sua morte, ressuscitou pelo Pai no poder do Espírito.

O Crisma aprofunda a nossa vida batismal, que nos chama a ser testemunhas missionárias de Jesus Cristo nas nossas famílias, vizinhanças, sociedade e no mundo… Recebemos a mensagem da fé de uma forma mais profunda e intensa, com grande ênfase na pessoa de Jesus Cristo, que pediu ao Pai que desse o Espírito Santo à Igreja para edificar a comunidade no serviço amoroso.

A preparação para o Crisma dos jovens é coordenada pelo nosso Secretaria de Educação Religiosa.

Os adultos que desejam ser crismados (ou receber qualquer um dos Sacramentos da Iniciação Cristã) devem informar-se sobre o processo da OICA.

The prophets of the Old Testament foretold that God's Spirit would rest upon the Messiah to sustain his mission. Their prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus the Messiah was conceived by the Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus on the occasion of his baptism by John the Baptist. Jesus' entire mission occurred in communion with the Spirit. Before he died, Jesus promised that the Spirit would be given to the Apostles and to the entire Church. After his death, he was raised by the Father in the power of the Spirit.

Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world . . . We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service.
