Os ACOLHEDORES desempenham um papel vital e muitas vezes negligenciado. Na sagrada liturgia da Santa Igreja Católica, a ordem e a reverência são essenciais, pois o Santo Sacrifício da Missa não é meramente uma reunião, mas o mais elevado ato de adoração, onde o Céu e a Terra se unem.

O dever dos acolhedores não é simplesmente o de hospitalidade, mas o de servir a casa de Deus, assegurando que os fiéis possam entrar e participar nos sagrados mistérios com paz, dignidade e devoção.

Os acolhedores e os seus colegas ministros da hospitalidade ajudam a receber os fiéis com caridade e decoro à entrada da igreja.

As funções do acolhedor incluem:

- Auxiliar os fiéis a acomodarem-se;

- Manter um ambiente reverente, minimizando as distrações e

perturbações;

- Distribuir o boletim e outros materiais;

- Organizar o cortejo das oferendas;

- Administrar a recolha e manusear as doações com segurança;
- Assistir e orientar os paroquianos durante a Comunhão, além de

garantir que todos recebem a Eucaristia antes de regressarem aos

seus lugares;

- Verificar os bancos após a Missa para garantir que não há

pertences esquecidos ou outros artigos.

USHERS play a vital and unnoticed role. In the sacred liturgy of the Holy Catholic Church, order and reverence are essential, for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is not merely a gathering but the highest act of worship, where Heaven and earth unite.

The ushers' duty is not simply one of hospitality but of service to God's house, ensuring that the faithful may enter and participate in the sacred mysteries with peace, dignity, and devotion.

Usher and their fellow ministers of hospitality help welcoming the faithful with charity and decorum as they enter the church.

The duties of the Usher;
- Assisting in the seating of parishioners;
- Maintaining a reverent atmosphere by minimizing distractions

and disturbances;
- Distributing the bulletin and other handouts;

- Managing the procession of the gifts;

- Administering the collection and securely handling the donations;
- Assisting and directing parishioners during Communion, in

addition to making sure everyone consumes the Eucharist before

going back to their seats;
- Checking the pews after Mass for any forgotten belongings or

other items.
